Ding-Dong! It's the last day of school and you can't give me detention
Several years ago, my dad replaced the doorbell at our house with a new
one. The old one was
still working just fine so I decided to save it and have some fun...
On the last "normal" day of school of 12th grade (senior year)
I brought in this door bell which I had rigged up
to work with a 9-volt battery and a button. I spent my last day wandering around the
school placing the door bell
up to classroom doors and ringing the bell (this was odd and confusing for the students
and teachers in the classrooms
since as with most schools, there are no doorbells in the classrooms). I had lots of fun
confusing people with this
nonsense. Later on I simply walked around the school hallways making the
"ding-dong" sound at everyone in the
hallway while yelling "Doorbell take cover!" This was most fun when doing
this to teachers and the principals.
They just laughed and seemed to be thinking "just a few more hours, and he's
graduated" Sadly I did not have
a chance to do any great senior prank. I did however wear the most tacky neon-shoe laces
to my graduation
ceremony (the neon kind that a curly like a telephone cord). This was my way of rebelling
against the
totally stupid professional like dress-code they put in place for the ceremony.
