Call Waiting
This feature allows you to take a second incoming call while you are already on the phone.

To activate: 

This feature requires a subscription. Call your telephone company's business office to place an order or ask questions.

To disable on a per-call basis, dial:

*70 (or 1170 on a rotary phone)

To use the service...

When you have a call waiting, you will hear a short beep. To answer press "flash" or briefly tap the receiver hook. This will put the current call on hold an answer the second. To switch back to the first call, simply press "flash" or tap the hook again.

Helpful Hints:

1. In some areas, if you hang up the phone, your phone will ring again and re-connect you with the first caller.
2. In some areas there is a feature called Call Waiting ID, this feature allows you to see the name/number of the second caller on your Caller ID display. (You must have a compatible display marked "Call Waiting ID"  regular caller-id displays will NOT work).
